I'm full professor at the Faculty of Information Engineering of Politecnico di Milano and affiliate to
the Polo Regionale di Como, where I direct the Career in Computer Engineering (BSc and MSc). I teach the following courses:
 |
Web Technologies in Online program of the BSc Course in Computer Engineering (taught in Italian) (see
Home page of Laureaonline)

Web Technologies in the BSc Course in Computer Engineering (taught in Italian) |
 |
Advanced Web Technologies
in the MSc Course in Computer Engineering (taught in English) |
The Master's Program in Computer Engineering I'm directing has the
twofold objective of guaranteeing a high professional
qualification and of providing strong engineering skills.
The Laurea Degree Program (B.Sc.) gives students solid foundations, covering base disciplines (maths and physics),
information engineering topics (system controls, telecommunications and electronics) and the fundamentals of computer science and engineering.
The "Laurea Magistrale" Degree (M.Sc.) in Computer
Engineering consists of two curricula:
- Computer Engineering for Communication trains computer engineers specialized in the design, implementation and management of modern information systems and applications. In particular, it puts special emphasis on the integration of engineering and communication skills, as required for the effective development of highly usable software systems. The curriculum offers courses from different subject areas: Computer Engineering, Digital Convergence, Communication and Humanities, Management and Complementary Subjects, Mathematics, Physics and Automatics.
- Sound Engineering and Design provides students with an in-depth understanding of the all the concepts that are behind generation, analysis, manipulation/processing, transport, coding and rendering of audio and musical signals. The focus is on a wide range of topics that cover, among others, psycho-perception, signal processing, electronics, electroacoustics, computer music, applied and environmental acoustics. The track addresses a variety of applications that range from sound synthesis to data mining, from spatial processing to auditory display, from the design of computer music architectures to music information retrieval systems. The courses are delivered by the Politecnico di Milano in cooperation with the "Giuseppe Verdi" music conservatory of Como (Conservatorio di Musica di Como "Giuseppe Verdi").
The students' community in the Como Campus is
international, with more than forty countries represented. The
teaching materials are prevalently in English (books, lecture
notes, papers, websites, multimedia CDs).
