Short bio

I am associate professor at the Dipartimento di Elettronica e Informazione, Politecnico di Milano, where I teach courses on Data Bases and Algorthms and Data Structures. I am member of the DB group.

Education

• Degree with honors in Computer Science at the University of Bari, Italy.
• Ph.D. in Computer and Automation Engineering, Dipartimento di Elettronica e Informazione, Politecnico di Milano. Thesis on Hypermedia and Web Usability:"SUE: a Systematic Methodology for Evaluating Hypermedia Usability".

Grants and research stays

• 1993: Fellowships from Olivetti Ricerca, to support her undergraduate thesis research at Laboratorio Sanità, Bari
• 1995: Fellowship by CNR (Italian National Research Council) to support her research at CNUCE CNR Institute, Pisa, Italy, on the “Automatic generation of interfaces for databases”
• 1996: Fellowship from University of Bari, to support a research stay at the GVU Center, Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta (GA), USA, on the “Evaluation methods for Hypermedia and Web applications”
• 1997: Fellowship by CNR (Italian National Research Council) to support her research at the University of Bari, Italy, on the “Evaluation methods for Hypermedia and Web applications”
• 2001: Grant from Politecnico di Milano (“Young Researchers” program), to support a research on the “Design and development of data-intensive Web applications"
