Radio Imaging
Radio Imaging is an
emerging technology for locating and tracking moving objects/people in areas
that are monitored by simple and low-cost radio. The objects being detected
need not to carry any electronic device.
Applications of radio imaging.

How it works. Small, low-cost and low-power battery-operated wireless devices are
spread over an area of interest creating a dense mesh network. Objects that
move within the area modify the received signal strength field, this allows
to extract the location of objects within the area and track their movements.
Test-bed, DEI Seminars Room. As shown in
the following experiments, radio imaging analyzes
the fluctuations of received signal strength over the wireless links as a
basis for image reconstruction, detection and localization.
